William Nuelle

General Partner, Ventures

Will Nuelle is General Partner of Galaxy Ventures, focusing on early-stage investments in protocol layer infrastructure, DeFi applications, and software products. Will started at Galaxy in Research, where he developed quantitative risk software for trading. Before Galaxy, he built incentive simulations for Ethereum protocol FOAM as an intern. He holds B.S. degrees from Stanford University in Mathematics and Architecture.

Mike Giampapa is General Partner of Galaxy Ventures, focusing on the intersection of crypto and financial services, security & DeFi applications, and developer tooling. Prior to Galaxy, Mike worked at Bessemer Venture Partners, where he helped lead their crypto and fintech investing efforts, investing in 30+ companies across all stages. He also worked at Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), where he worked on the firm’s lead investment in Coinbase. Mike started his career at J.P. Morgan and worked in business development at Circle. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he served as co-president of the Blockchain and Crypto Club, and a B.A. in Economics from Johns Hopkins, where he was a member of the varsity football team.

CJ Huntzinger

CJ Huntzinger

Head of Platform

CJ Huntzinger serves as the Head of Platform at Galaxy Ventures, where he supports the Ventures team and portfolio companies by leading strategy across marketing, communications, and events, while also developing comprehensive resources for founders. CJ partners closely with portfolio companies and founders to elevate their brand positioning through story design, press relations, content strategy, go-to-market planning, and thought leadership initiatives. Before joining Galaxy, CJ led communications at Songtrust, a premier global music royalty payments platform, where he was instrumental in scaling the company’s brand on a global scale. He has over a decade of experience in startup marketing and communications and more than five years dedicated to venture platform work.

Neil Bhuta is an Investor at Galaxy Ventures. His investment thesis focuses on crypto-enabled payments, software, blockchain infrastructure, and DeFi applications. Prior to Galaxy, Neil worked at DCG and spent his time on crypto investment activities across all stages. Neil started his career in M&A at Evercore and worked in long-short equity at Governors Lane. He received a B.S. in Finance and Economics, magna cum laude, from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma.

Danny Slutsky is an Investor at Galaxy Ventures, where he focuses on portfolio management, operations, and monetization efforts across all Galaxy portfolio companies. Prior to Galaxy, Danny worked at Digital Currency Group (DCG) and CME Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of CME Group, where he managed over 200 early to late-stage portfolio companies, served on boards, assisted with M&A, and led all secondary market strategies across both funds. Danny holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in finance, accounting, strategic management, and entrepreneurship.

James Kibbie is an Investor at Galaxy Ventures focusing on investing in the intersection of crypto and financial services, DeFi's role in the future of capital markets, and the application of blockchain technology across sectors with complex or inefficient data flows. Prior to Galaxy, Kibbie worked at Point72 Ventures where he helped lead their crypto investment strategy. He started his VC career at DRW Venture Capital, supporting the firm's multi-stage investment strategy in the digital assets and fintech sector. Kibbie studied Economics at Wheaton College (IL) where he led the school's Student Managed Investment Fund and served as a TA in Financial Economics, Macroeconomics, and Statistics.

Jules Nguyen

Portfolio Talent Lead, Platform

Jules Nguyen leads Portfolio Talent at Galaxy Ventures, overseeing the Talent program to source and recruit talent for portfolio companies, while advising them on talent strategies that build effective teams and mitigate growth hurdles. With over a decade’s worth of talent acquisition experience, Jules helps founders and startups understand the business of people and unlock their thinking around team efficiencies and capital. Prior to Galaxy, she was responsible for blockchain security hiring at Coinbase, and successfully built dynamic engineering and go-to-market teams at tech giants Google and Tesla. Jules earned a BA in Psychology from UCSB, which gave her a deep understanding of human behavior and organizational development.

Lukas Kmoth

Design Lead Consultant, Platform

Lukas Kmoth leads Design at Galaxy Ventures, closely collaborating with portfolio companies providing hands-on product design sprints and UX direction. His responsibilities include building complex design systems, conducting UX research, early-stage prototyping, and branding. He aims to set up portfolio companies for scale and bring them to the next level through design. He is passionate about creating easy access to crypto for everyone and improving the experience for new and seasoned users. Prior to Galaxy, he was the Design Lead of ThoughtLab, a west coast-based Design Agency that worked with multiple VCs including Atlantic Foodlabs in Berlin.

Ian Irlander is Venture Counsel to the Galaxy Ventures and Interactive teams. Prior to Galaxy, Ian worked as an associate in the Emerging Companies and Growth Group at Latham & Watkins LLP where he focused on venture investments and strategic transactions in the digital asset, blockchain, DeFi and fintech spaces. Ian received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick, Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery.
